YouTube continue plans to take on Netflix and Hulu as they partner with Lebron James’ SpringHill Entertainment to create an eight episode docuseries about the a group of high school students learning about life through the game of basketball.
The series “Best Shot” will be executive produced by James and business partner, Maverick Carter and directed by Michael John Warren, who is known for directing Jay-Z documentary, Fade to Black.
Best Shot captures and tells an inspiring story about the life challenges of high school students as college basketball star and ESPN analyst, Jay Williams mentors, motivates and pushes them to be the best they can be.
SpringHill Entertainment since 2009 has a catalog of several projects on film and televison with Survivor’s Remorse being in it’s fourth season.
Best Shot will join a growing slate of unscripted series on YouTube Red, which is currently avaiable for $10 per month the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Korea.
